The priority activity of SE "Moldelectrica," in alignment with the national strategy in the field of occupational safety and health, has been directed towards workplace safety and health, focusing on preserving the health and lives of employees. It takes into account the specific characteristics of the enterprise’s production activities, as well as the nature and scope of risks to employee health and safety.

To improve performance in this area, SE "Moldelectrica" sets the following general objectives:

  • Raising awareness of the priority of employees’ lives and health;
  • Continuous improvement of the occupational safety and health management system, creating healthy working conditions, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health legislation, and periodically evaluating the level of compliance;
  • Preventive identification, elimination, or minimization of risks of accidents and occupational diseases for employees.

The objectives will be achieved through:

  • Increasing knowledge and application by all employees of the established technical and organizational measures and the legal and normative provisions in occupational health and safety.
  • Implementing, certifying, and maintaining specific objectives included in the "Protection and Prevention Plan" of measures aimed at preventing risks of accidents and occupational diseases.
  • Developing and integrating technologies, equipment, and materials aimed at enhancing safety and improving employees’ working conditions.
  • Informing employees about the requirements of the occupational safety and health management system to ensure risk-free working conditions, as well as guarantees, compensations, and personal protective equipment, to create work conditions ensuring physical, psychological, and social comfort.
  • Maintaining a standard of professional quality, competence, and employee awareness through continuous professional training programs in occupational safety and health.
  • Developing partnerships and extending collaborative relationships among management, employees, and the labor union of the enterprise to solve occupational safety and health issues.
  • Diversifying training strategies by involving labor union representatives among employees to identify occupational safety and health issues, ensuring access to information:
    • Unified requirements for working conditions in production activities;
    • Awareness of risks to health caused by hazards;
    • Compliance with occupational safety and health requirements at the workplace.
  • Evaluating specific instructions for each employee to meet occupational safety and health requirements.
  • Increasing confidence in the sustainability of decisions and the accessibility of the enterprise’s indicators in occupational safety and health.
  • Raising employees’ awareness of responsibilities and consequences in identifying potential health and safety hazards.
