List of procedures and contracts

The balancing mechanism is launched in accordance with ANRE Decision no. 283 from 07.08.2020 regarding the approval of the Electricity Market Rules.

On the electricity balancing market, the transmission system operator (TSO) performs the following activities:

• Purchasing and selling electricity to balance the necessary electricity capacities requested and offered during the current day;
• Purchasing and selling electricity to cover the electricity imbalances of the balancing responsible parties;

As part of implementing the new Electricity Market Rules, the following procedures and framework contracts have been developed, approved by ANRE, and implemented.
