Central Branch of High-Voltage Electric Grid

The Central Branch of HVEG manages and maintains the 35-330 kV electrical grids and is responsible for transporting electricity to the distribution networks, as well as to major consumers in 10 districts of the central region of the Republic of Moldova. These districts include: Straseni, Calarasi, Nisporeni, Telenesti, Orhei, Hincesti, Ialoveni, Stefan Voda, Causeni, Anenii Noi.

As of January 1, 2017, the Central Branch of HVEG oversees 47 substations of 35-330 kV with a total installed power of 1756.2 MVA, including two 330 kV substations (Chisinau and Straseni), 43 110 kV substations, and 2 35 kV substations.

The Central Branch of HVEG is adjacent to Moldavian TPP, EEG, SEEG, North Branch of HVEG, South Branch of HVEG, Gas Natural Fenosa, Red Nord, and Romania.

As of January 1, 2017, the Central Branch of HVEG has 354 employees.
