South Branch of High-Voltage Electric Grid

South Branch of HVEG exercise control and maintenance of 35-400 kV electric grid and is responsible for energy transport to the distribution network, as well as to the major consumers in 9 regions of the south zone of the Republic of Moldova. These areas include: Cimislia, Basarabeasca, Comrat, Leova, Cantemir, Taraclia, Ceadir-Lunga, Vulcanesti and Cahul.

As per 01.01.2017 South Branch of HVEG exercise control at 34 of 35-400 kV substations with total installed power of 575,7 MVA including one 400 kV substation Vulcanesti; 25 110 kV substations; and 8 35 kV substations.
