North-West Branch of High-Voltage Electric Grid

The North-West Branch of HVEG manages and maintains the 35-330 kV electric grid and ensures the transmission of electricity to the distribution network and major consumers in 6 districts of the north-western region of the Republic of Moldova: Donduseni, Soroca, Drochia, Edinet, Briceni, and Ocnita.

As of January 1, 2022, the North-West Branch of HVEG operates 43 substations of 35-110 kV with a total installed capacity of 553.3 MVA.

The North-West Branch is bordered by the South-West Branch of the Ukrainian Power System, the Western Power Grid (Dubasari), the North Branch of HVEG, “RED Nord-Vest” JSC, and Romania.

According to the official staffing chart, the North-West Branch employs 213 people (as of January 1, 2022).
