The state-owned enterprise "Moldelectrica" is a company specializing in centralizing the transportation and operational dispatching services for the energy system of the Republic of Moldova.
Within its activities, the Transmission System Operator (TSO) is responsible for two main tasks:

Electricity transportation;

Implementing unified operational and technological management for the energy system of the Republic of Moldova.
Electricity transportation is carried out in strict compliance with the relevant licensing conditions, applicable legal provisions, energy market rules, and technical standards for transmission networks
To achieve this, "Moldelectrica" undertakes the following:

Timely maintenance, modernization, rehabilitation, and expansion of the transmission networks;

Ensuring reliable operation of Moldova's energy system and maintaining electricity quality in accordance with established parameters;

Monitoring the technical condition of electrical installations, including investigating violations affecting system reliability;

Managing power flows within the transmission networks;

Ensuring parallel operation with Ukraine's Unified Energy System (UES).
Under its unified operational and technological management of Moldova's energy system, "Moldelectrica" performs:

Coordination of optimal load curves for power stations, electrical networks, and consumers;

Electrical regime calculations;
-
Frequency control, including operating the automatic frequency and power control systems, as well as system-wide and emergency automation;
-
Training and maintaining the professional development of its personnel.
